TESTIMONIALS
“Cynthia recently staged our home in preparation for listing photos taken. She honored us as homeowners by working WITH us. We felt an active part of her process. Cynthia made the transformation of our home purposefully and tastefully. I appreciated her compliments on our home and it’s belongings even if decor was removed for staging purposes. I learned so much at her side as she explained much about balance, appeal and spaciousness in preparing a home for listing. Less is definitely more! As one begins to declutter and open up a room you begin to appreciate peaceful effects of changes. My take away learning is, just because I have it, I don’t have to use it! I am excited to employ Cynthia’s techniques in choosing our next house and making it a home. She spent several hours of hard, dedicated work with us. The proof is now in the gorgeous video tour that will accompany our upcoming listing. The only problem is, Cynthia created a look at our house through fresh eyes. Now I truly may not want to leave. Even though we plan to move north, I would love to consult with Cynthia in the future!”

“Working with a home stager was a new experience for me. Cynthia was very efficient and worked quickly to get my second home ready to put on the market. She interacted with me and our realtor to do the best job possible and I have been very pleased with the final results. The items that she had to purchase, she did so with cost in mind to keep any extra costs to a minimum. I really appreciated her ability to do a great job in a very timely manner. It was a pleasure to work with Cynthia.”

"Cynthia was a great help to me when I decided to redecorate my home. She knew just what would make our chaotic home feel put together and relaxing. She picked the paint colors and "theme" so that everything flowed together from the front door to the upstairs. She shopped for all of the accessories, arranged them and hung all the pictures. She also helped us pick furniture that would fit our space as well as pick out the fabrics and colors. I felt very comfortable putting it all in her capable hands. The process was very quick and I am thrilled with the results."
Tamera Chorba - Charleston, SC
“In the beginning I was overwhelmed and shocked that I had to remove so much of my stuff, but Cynthia pulled it all together and made my house look beautiful for showing to sell. Now I love the new look of my house so much because I realize that less is better. Everything shows well now and I am very pleased with Cynthia’s help to make this possible.”
Anne Geyer - Hendersonville, NC
"In January of 2006 we contacted Cynthia Pulsifer with a monumental task. We were attempting to decorate a new 13,000 square foot church auditorium with a Charleston low country look and feel. Cynthia listened intently to our desires and immediately went to work. She brought us 3 color pallets to choose from. From there she guided us with paint and fabric selection, chair styles, carpet, tiles, and mirrors. During the entire process she was readily available and accessible. Today we are thrilled with the final product. Guests frequent our facility from around the country and they all marvel at the way Cynthia captured the look and feel of the marsh, the beach, and the sand of the Charleston area. Cynthia is a professional that we will call upon again."

“I worked with Cynthia as her Realtor and sold her a house in Hendersonville. The transformation from the house she bought to the house she sold was mind boggling. Her sense of style, understanding of space and ability to create a serene environment was superior and beyond belief. Upon resale a year and a half later to downsize, everyone said the house showed like a model and was one of the prettiest and well staged homes they had ever seen. I can heartily and easily suggest that you consider Cynthia’s skillset when considering home staging for sale or redecorating for your own personal enjoyment.”
G. Satz - George Real Estate Group - Hendersonville, NC
“I have been working with Cynthia Pulsifer for about a year now with different projects over the phone. When we decided to sell our house, we knew we needed to lighten the paint colors to assure a quick and seamless sale. After speaking with Cynthia and hearing her suggestions, we took her advice and chose the Divine White paint she suggested to paint the interior of our house. It really looked much lighter, brighter and gave a more spacious feel. Our house sold the first day on the market, for our full asking price! We are very grateful to have had her assistance on that project. Because of my positive experience working with Cynthia on the paint project, I was actually willing to go so far as to fly her out to our new home in Idaho so that I could have confidence in the new design of my living room. She, instead was willing to do a thorough, detailed phone consultation. We went online together for a few hours and chose a sofa, 2 chairs and an ottoman with custom fabric choices and pillows that would work with the existing paint colors in our new home. She gave me two color choices from which to choose, and advised me to check out the fabric samples and compare them for the best color match. The results were far beyond my expectations, and are quite stunning. I am very excited about going to the local store to order my furniture and let them know that my designer helped me select everything. Needless to say, I will certainly continue to call Cynthia whenever I need professional design help and will not hesitate to refer her to any of my friends.“

“Cynthia was a God-send! I am from Arkansas but my daughter’s family has lived in the Charleston area for over eleven years. When I received a frantic call on December 19 that she had gone into early labor with her fourth pregnancy at only 29 weeks we packed up and headed out to stay with her three little girls while she was on bed rest at MUSC. I desperately wanted to do something special for her during this time to brighten her spirits. Having known she was weary of having her home the exact same way for almost six years, I decided to have the interior redesigned. I asked one of my daughter’s special church members who she would recommend and she gave me Cynthia’s name. Within two days of my call we set an appointment with Cynthia and in four hours she totally revitalized the first floor of their home. She did a walk through and was able to use items from throughout the house to liven up the living area. Not only did she move and rearrange and hang, she suggested different wall color and specific items we could look for should we want to invest additional money to do some new things as well. Needless to say I was thrilled and my daughter was overwhelmed. When she was able to come back home after six weeks in the hospital, she wept as she went through each part of her fresh, ‘new’ home. I think what was most special to me was Cynthia’s heart that was obvious when she heard the situation we were in. She was efficient, focused, and so very helpful in her ideas. Thank you, Cynthia! Your heart shows in your work and we could never have done this without you.”
Judy Wallace - Bald Knob, Arkansas
“I have been able to view a property in Hendersonville where Cynthia updated and staged for sale and another she redecorated. In both, she uses color, furniture, and decor with tremendous skill to accomplish a spacious, inviting, and unique appearance. She is not just talented in the interior design, but passionate about working with her clients.“

"I had the pleasure of working with Cynthia in 2005. I had just completed building a home on Johns Island and needed help in choosing a wall color for the entire house. I had tried, and missed every time - choosing colors that were just awful. Looked good on the tiny color swatch, but dreadful on the wall. She was a God send - picked out the perfect color almost instantly! She helped me pick fabric and trim for pillows and an ottoman, and helped me re-arrange the furniture. She even personally helped me lay down a sea grass carpet and padding! Cynthia was always a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her services highly."
Lynn Henke - Johns Island, SC
“Several years ago my husband Richard and I built a house. We did a lot of the work ourselves. When it came to color coordination, we were at a loss. Cynthia was the best. She came to the rescue for us. She helped us pick wood floors and tile for our home. During that time, we went on a 3 week mission’s trip. While we were gone, she picked 2 or 3 countertop choices for us and paint colors. There were some major decisions to be made and we trusted her to make those for us. We were not disappointed when we got back. She also helped us with putting out our decor and hanging pictures. She has a great way of helping you so you get what you want without being pushy. We highly recommend her.”

A FEW BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES
REMODEL - Charleston Eclectic Cottage: This adorable cottage had a lovely pond view, but the carpet, paint color and cabinets made it feel very old fashioned and dingy looking and made it hard to even focus on the view. The vision for the space was to “bring the outside” with new paint colors that would enhance the view and make it a seamless transition. New dark wood flooring was installed to give it a much more upscale look. The kitchen got a paint refresh on the cabinets using Chalk Paint with a wax finish, new granite countertops and new stainless steel appliances were installed as well. This was one of my favorite remodels I’ve done to date as the new look was remarkable. This home sold much faster in a tough real estate market than the other listed homes in this neighborhood.
OCCUPIED HOME STAGING - Hendersonville Modern Farmhouse: As you can see from these after photos, this home was stunning, but it desperately needed to be decluttered. Working in conjunction with the homeowners, we went to work removing some furniture and quite a bit of artwork and accessories. Fortunately for them, they already had some nice items to work with, so we were able to finish this project in just a few hours. This goes to prove that if you don’t mind working with a stager, you can certainly save a lot of money. This beautiful home sold very fast at an excellent price.
VACANT HOME STAGING - High End Mt. Pleasant Row House - From this example, you can see how even a light staging with limited furnishings and accessories can really warm up a house to make it feel like a home. The vision for this was an eclectic blend of furnishings and accessories to create a Pottery Barn look and feel. This home was one of two I staged in Mt. Pleasant. * Vacant stagings are no longer an option unless you already have furnishings we can use.
VACANT HOME STAGING - I’on Single Row House: This builder really focused on quality construction and it shows. This house did need the warmth that a staging provided. With a few strategic changes, it really captured the look and feel of the Lowcountry, with it’s eclectic design. * Vacant stagings are no longer an option unless you already have furnishings we can use.
VACANT HOME STAGING - Upscale Mt. Pleasant Cottage: A beautiful high-end cottage like this deserves lovely furniture and special attention. I chose more traditional furnishings, adding a couple of seagrass rugs to complete the Charleston look and further accentuate the class of this home. The idea was to keep it simple and elegant. This one did not sit on the market long, but sold soon after staging it.
OCCUPIED HOME STAGING - Hendersonville Carriage Park Home: With budget as a primary concern for my client, we used mainly her existing furnishings and accessories to complete this staging. We began with decluttering and got to work moving furniture and artwork to create a cohesive look and feel in the home. The house sold soon after for top dollar in her neighborhood. What a great example of how even staging on a budget can make a big difference in the overall appeal to potential buyers.
REMODEL: Hendersonville Mobile Home This home was very dated, but had a great layout. The kitchen got a much needed remodel with new countertops, a tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, new flooring and lighting. I did a modern refresh to the fireplace in the living room and added new lighting and current style furnishings to make this home stand out in the community. Having the interior repainted made it much more appealing and really updated the space. The added touch of a grey accent wall surrounding the “new” fireplace created a sense of drama which contrasted nicely with the new paint color and tied in the newly added subway tiles in the adjoining kitchen. This home sold very quickly for full price without a realtor.
Downtown Charleston Carriage Townhouse - VACANT HOME STAGING: Working with a Realtor on this property was a great experience and he knew when he called that he needed to do something different to help it sell. This home desperately needed the warmth that only a Home Staging could provide. Once a cold and empty space, it showcased a new vitality and really made the difference in getting it sold.
